5 months on HALLOWEEN!

Nebraska!

Well, we survived our first BIG trip with Josie pretty well.
We spent 5 days in Nebraska. We flew into Omaha Wednesday night, but got delayed in Denver due to snow and ice, and ended up finally at our end point at the Brownelle's in Lincoln past 1 am (yikes!). Thursday we drove to Superior, where Josie's GREAT Grandma Benson, as well as a few other relatives live. Friday night we were back in Lincoln so that Eric and Suzanne could go to the Nebraska Cornhuskers game Saturday morning (for you non- Nebraskans, this is a BIG DEAL: GO BIG RED!). Unfortunately, the game was a bit of a disappointment. Then today- back home! I have to say I was very impressed at the Nebraskan friendliness and hospitality, and Josie travelled (mostly) well.

Weekend visit

This past weekend we had visitors: the Yost grandparents came up on Thursday evening, and my mom and Heidi came up on Friday. It was great to see everyone! We had a lovely walk in the arboretum Friday afternoon, and Saturday went to the Zoo.
