Josie starts kindergarten
Today was the highly anticipated first day of Kindergarten for Josie. She will be in Mrs. Ronyak's class at Llewelyn with 19 other kids. Her Schultute had a special notebook, a clicky rainbow pen, gum, a hamster eraser, glittery colored pencils and a tiny playmobil farm set. We had ice cream on the way home. All in all, a great day.

Nell 9 months
She's 15 lb 15 oz, 29 inches; still on her little growth curve. She just cut her too two teeth. She's making a crazy number of new sounds and babbles all the time. She calls Eric "dada" or dadeeeee" and has yet to say mama. She signs "more!". About a week into her 9th month she started doing a crawl/ scoot thing using one knee and one foot.
She's adorable, amazing, sweet and goes with the flow pretty darn well. I can hardly believe how big she is getting!

Denver/ Vail 2014
We had a really great family trip visiting with Aunt Ang in Denver. It was HOT, and so our planned trip to Vail for a couple days got extended. What a beautiful place, and very kid friendly!
Highlights included the aquarium, farmers market, splash pad, bike rides, game nights, a gondola ride, trampolining for Josie and incredible mountain views.

Jorts camping weekend 2014
It was the first time we took both kids, and it was a mile hike in to our site. While we had a laughable amount of stuff including our new tent we dubbed "Chateau de Yost", we did pretty well and had a fun time. Nell napped in the ergo and actually slept decently in the tent. Josie got to stay up late and played mafia with the adults. Maria was narrator and let her tell stories to the group. Many marshmallows and many beers were had. I was a fun time.
